Maurice and Kimmi Scott relationship shows their commitment despite highs and lows. They have been together for more than 10 years.
They were in a relationship for seven years before they decided to marry on camera.
The couple finally got hitched during the first season of Love & Marriage: Huntsville
It happened during the sixth episode of Season 1, titled 'The Love Boat'. The episode aired on February 16, 2019.
The marriage took place in Miami in 2018, including friends and family. They celebrate their anniversary on August 25.
This was the first marriage for Kimmi, nonetheless a second one for Maurice. His first wife was Kiuwha, with whom he has three children.
On the show, Kimmi thanked Maurice for teaching her a whole new meaning of commitment. For her side, she admits that marriage is different than she thought.
She said, "Sometimes there are difficult days where you have to compromise, but you stay committed because you're committed."
Things were different with her ex-partner. There was simply quitting and no compromise or commitment. However, with Maurice, it is different, and "every disagreement isn't an argument," she said.
As for Maurice, his first marriage left him a bit tired regarding commitment. Kimmi made him expand his idea of commitment.
Maurice Scott and Kimmi Scott are still together and happily living with their four children. Though they are not their biological parents, they love them like their own.
Kimmi was really happy during her wedding and said that "I couldn't have made this day better, even if I tried, I couldn't, and I'm ready to get married."
During a YouTube interview with Oprah Winfrey Network, Kimmi reveals how she met Maurice. The interview included Maurice's first wife and explains how his current wife also met his ex-wife.
Kimmi had no idea who Kiuwha was when she first met her, and neither did she know any of the Scotts.
